Toi has a wonderful character. One of his most notable characteristics is his lack of reactivity; he has no noise sensitivities at all. He is stable, calm, easy-going, obedient, and gentle, 100% trustworthy with children. Toivo is well-suited to performance activities. He is a wonderful herding dog, very sensible and enthusiastic, always wanting to please. Toivo began his herding career with me, trained and handled to his HSAs title (Herding Started A-course Sheep). Due to my having to move to New York City, Toivo is now living with and is co-owned by Tammy Van Deusen in Indiana, and can be seen weekends at Mary Lou Hayden's Dogwood Farm. With Tammy, he recently earned his ASCA Started Trial Dog Sheep (STDs) title. Tammy's goal is to take him all the way to Herding Champion. Many thanks to Tammy and Mary Lou for making it possible for Toivo to continue his herding lifestyle, he was meant to be a working dog! Toi has sired two very nice litters to date.
